MURDER

Every day four women die in this country as a result of domestic violence, the euphemism for murders and assaults by husbands and boyfriends. That's approximately 1,400 women a year, according to the FBI. The number of women who have been murdered by their intimate partners is greater than the number of soldiers killed in the Vietnam War.

Comments:
New study from the University of Manitoba: Disabled women face 40% higher risk of domestic violence.

There is no shortage of things about which to be disgusted, nor of woman-lynchings.

Thank you interrobang. I will read it and follow up. Canadians and readers from other places, please post relevant information here too.

Two enormous men came to my door at 6:30 a.m. posing as police officers. I did not open the door to them! I opened the window to talk to them. They finally left.

Please always lock your doors.

The two criminals actually tried to open my locked door. I thank goodness my door was locked.

I know karma is going to eventually get them!

This terrifying ordeal happened to me in Detroit.
